OVERVIEW

Agrotechs is a task manager tailor-made for farmers. With this app workers are able to see the tasks they have for the day, they can warn their administrators of farm related issues and manually sync everything since there are no reliable connections in most Brazilian farms.

Our dev friends from The Velops build a MVP for Agrotechs that were tested in 2 farms, but workers were having trouble using it and they asked for our help.

This is how the app looked like:

UX Issues

- Tarefas Completas (Complete Tasks - screen #4):
Not clear that there was a tab for completed task;

- Registros (Records - screen #7):
The Brazilian countryside has one of the biggest rates of illiteracy in the country so this "e-mail form" was not very friendly for people that don’t write that well or are ashamed of their writing.

User Experience

First of all, the app needed an extreme makeover in its user experience. We started by making the task view our home with the warning and sync buttons always visible and easy to access. This way you don't have to go anywhere else to use those functionalities.

Then we decided to put the completed tasks on the same screen so workers can see how many tasks they completed today and have a little productive boost. We included a progression bar as another productivity incentive. We also included calendar navigation if you would like to see past and future tasks.

The warning from now on does not require you to write anything if you like. With the subject field exchanged for an icon grid of possible warnings organized by themes, we now have an easier interface to use and a way for Agrotechs to gather data from their client’s farm.

Double hi-five!

User INTERFACE

After the wireframe was approved we started working on the user interface.

For the feedback screens we made 5 little animations that will randomly appear every time you complete a flow.

DESKTOP DASHBOARD

Now that the app is looking cool, it's time to give the same look on the desktop client for the farm manager.
